PolyChrome DSP, a software company, has unveiled its latest product, Cry Boy, a Wah plugin modelled after the preferred model of McRocklin. This device is designed to be compatible with a range of plugins and is intended to be the initial device in the user’s chain.
To commemorate the launch of this product, Cry Boy will be included at no extra cost with the purchase of the McRocklin Suite for a limited period. Furthermore, a special anniversary discount code ‘1YEAR’ is available, offering a 50% discount on the McRocklin Suite.
Cry Boy provides a legendary sounding Wah, elevated to new dimensions. It is currently available for free with the purchase of the McRocklin Suite. This offer is limited and is also extended to those who already own the McRocklin Suite. They can visit ‘My Offers’ in the user area to avail Cry Boy for free.
The device offers a feature called ‘Bite’ that allows users to control the spirit of their Wah sounds, ranging from gentle classic sweeps to intense Vai-esque aggression. Another feature, ‘Sens’, enables users to adjust the sensitivity of Cry Boy when using the Auto mode.
The ‘Auto’ feature is designed to let Cry Boy do the work while users concentrate on playing their guitar. This feature is particularly useful for producing funky clean rhythms.
Cry Boy also includes ‘Full Midi Control’, which allows users to easily midi-map Cry Boy to their expression pedal by right clicking on the Wah. This feature also includes full MIDI control for more complex MIDI routing.
The ‘Presets’ feature enables Cry Boy to instantly load users’ favourite presets, even while they are playing.
Cry Boy is compatible with VST, AU, CLAP, Windows or MacOS, providing access to a legendary wah, regardless of the system being used. There is no requirement for an iLok.
To celebrate the launch of Cry Boy, it will be included for free with the purchase of the McRocklin Suite for a limited time. Additionally, an anniversary discount code ‘1YEAR’ is provided for a 50% reduction on the McRocklin Suite.
