PSP Audioware has launched PSP Levelizer, an intelligent auto-fader plugin for macOS and Windows. The processor is designed to maintain consistent audio levels while preserving the natural dynamics and musical character of a performance.
PSP Levelizer functions as an advanced auto-fader that can automatically adjust gain to reach and maintain a target level. In addition to holding a defined level, the plugin can make a track follow an external signal, enabling level-control techniques that extend beyond conventional compression and dynamics processing.
The processor is intended for a range of applications, including vocal leveling, bass control, dialogue processing, mix automation, and other scenarios where controlled gain riding is required. PSP Audioware positions the plugin for use in live sound, recording, mixing, and mastering contexts.
PSP Levelizer includes adjustable lookahead controls, allowing users to tailor response timing to suit different material and workflows. An integrated sidechain EQ enables the detection circuit to focus on selected frequency ranges, offering more precise control over how the auto-fader responds to incoming audio.
The plugin provides three selectable reaction modes:
- Sharp for fast transient response
- Normal for balanced gain riding
- Smooth for more gradual level adjustments
For output stage management, PSP Levelizer incorporates a brick-wall limiter. The limiter includes adjustable drive, ceiling, and release parameters, along with stereo linking options, offering additional control over peak levels and channel behavior.
PSP Levelizer is available for both macOS and Windows platforms and supports major plugin formats:
- Windows: Windows 7 through Windows 11, 64-bit VST, VST3, or AAX compatible host
- macOS (Intel and Apple Silicon): macOS 10.14 Mojave through macOS Tahoe (macOS 26), 64-bit AudioUnit, VST, VST3, or AAX compatible host
An iLok user ID is required for authorization, along with the free iLok License Manager application. Licenses can be activated in up to three locations, each of which may be a computer or a second-generation or newer iLok dongle. Licenses can be moved between locations using the iLok License Manager software. All supported DAWs require the latest version of the iLok License Manager to be installed.
A fully functional 30-day trial version is available for both macOS and Windows.
PSP Levelizer is available now at an introductory price of $49 USD until June 30, 2026. The regular price is $69 USD.
