ReplicatAudio has launched KingKrusher, a multi-effects workstation for processing and shaping audio through a configurable chain of effects. Available as a standalone application and in VST3 and AU formats, KingKrusher combines bit reduction, filtering, modulation, delay, reverb, and routing tools in a single interface.
KingKrusher includes more than 18 effects and processing modules, alongside over 120 automatable parameters and more than 150 included presets. Its processing selection includes bitcrushing and downsampling, high-pass, low-pass and split filters, saturation, wavefolding, tremolo, vibrato, wow and flutter, chorus, stereo delay, freeze, reverb, flanger, phaser, comb filtering, a noise generator, stereo width, noise gate, slew limiting, oversampling, auto gain, and an output limiter.
The plug-in uses a 15-block drag-and-drop routing system, allowing users to arrange effects in different orders within a processing chain. Individual effects can be bypassed, and the routing configuration can also be randomised. ReplicatAudio states that the system provides 1,307,674,368,000 possible routing combinations.
Modulation is provided through dedicated LFO controls for the individual effect sections. The LFOs can operate in free-frequency or BPM-synchronised modes and include phase and shape controls, with smoothing options. Available waveforms include sine, rising saw, falling saw, square, and triangle shapes. KingKrusher also provides XY-pad controls for LFO adjustment.
Additional workflow features include patch management, real-time visualisers, per-effect bypass controls, and automation support. The plug-in is designed for use in compatible DAWs on Linux, Windows, and macOS, with the stated platform requirements as follows:
- Linux: Ubuntu 22.04 or later, 64-bit processor, and a compatible DAW.
- Windows: Windows 10 or later, 64-bit processor, and a compatible DAW. Pro Tools is not supported.
- macOS: macOS High Sierra or later, with an Intel or Apple Silicon processor and a compatible DAW. Pro Tools is not supported.
KingKrusher is priced at €90, approximately $105 USD.
