Rocksolid Audio has launched TEQ-6P, an EQ plug-in for macOS and Windows available in Standard and Unique editions. The plug-in uses a virtual circuit design in which individual electronic components are modelled and connected to represent the signal path of a hardware unit.
TEQ-6P is designed around component-level circuit simulation. According to Rocksolid Audio, the signal is processed through modelled resistors, capacitors, coils, valves, and transformers in real time, with the components wired together as part of the virtual circuit.
The plug-in includes three valve styles and three transformer styles, alongside auto gain and oversampling options. It also provides classic and modern interface styles, and is compatible with Rocksolid Audio hardware.
Rocksolid Audio offers TEQ-6P in two licensing and component-tolerance configurations:
- Standard Edition: Includes one machine licence and standard modelled component tolerances.
- Unique Edition: Includes three machine licences, unlimited licence transfers, and resale eligibility. Each licence is assigned an individual serial number and a separately randomised set of component tolerances.
For the Unique Edition, Rocksolid Audio states that the varying tolerances represent small differences between electronic parts within an individual unit. This gives each licensed instance its own component configuration rather than using the same tolerance values across all copies.
TEQ-6P is provided in VST3, AU, and AAX formats for macOS and Windows. Supported operating systems range from macOS 13 through macOS 26, and from Windows 10 through Windows 11.
The stated system requirements include 2 GB of RAM and a display resolution of at least 1440 × 900 pixels or 1280 × 960 pixels.
