This new suite builds upon the original SSL Meter plugin, adding advanced features such as a loudness metering suite and support for multichannel formats up to 7.1.4.

Meter Pro is designed to cater to the needs of both contemporary and traditional audio workflows. It retains essential tools like VU and PPM meters, which have been trusted by engineers for generations. The suite is tailored for professionals working across music, broadcast, post-production, and immersive audio, combining detailed loudness analysis with SSL’s established metering toolkit.

Integration with UF1 and SSL 360°
The SSL Meter Pro plugin integrates seamlessly within the SSL 360° ecosystem, syncing effortlessly with the UF1 hardware controller. The plugin’s modules are displayed on the UF1’s 4.3″ screen, providing intuitive tactile control and visuals.
Loudness Metering
The suite includes a complete set of loudness visualizations, such as Momentary bar, Short-Term History capture, and Histogram. Customizable text value readouts and alerts simplify working to various delivery platforms. It includes presets for international broadcast, streaming, and film standards, including ITU, EBU, ATSC, ARIB, AGCOM, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, TASA, and SAWA.
Multi-Channel Support
True Peak and RMS meters support a range of multichannel formats up to 7.1.4 (Dolby Atmos), providing essential feedback on levels and overloads. Users can choose between different scales and systems, including Non-Linear, Non-Linear 2x, Linear, Linear 2x, K-20, K-14, and K-12.
Phase and Stereo Balance
The Lissajous phase scope, with an adjustable fade rate, and a phase correlation meter help identify phase issues within stereo mixes. The L-R balance bar above the phase scope assists in determining if the stereo image is centered.
Analogue Tools in a Digital World
VU and PPM meters continue to provide valuable feedback about mix balances. Users can select the source of the VU/PPM in multi-channel modes by choosing ‘Custom’.
Realtime Frequency Analysis
The 31-band Real-Time Analyser (RTA) displays the frequency spectrum of instruments or mixes, allowing users to pinpoint problem areas. Each band can be interrogated for precise frequency values, with adjustable Peak hold time and Averaging time. Weighting options include none, C, or A-Weighting.
Settings
The comprehensive settings control panel allows users to tailor parameters to their precise metering needs, configuring alerts and fine-tuning details to suit their workflow.
Supersize Meter
The SSL Meter Pro plugin is fully rescalable, accommodating different screen sizes by allowing scaling from 50% to 200%.
