Soniccouture has released Attic 3, a virtual instrument collection for Kontakt Player featuring 24 rare synths.

News: Soniccouture has released Attic 3, a virtual instrument collection for Kontakt Player featuring 24 rare synths.

Soniccouture has launched Attic 3, a Kontakt Player virtual instrument collection featuring 24 synthesizers, electronic keyboards, and related instruments. The collection combines sampled hardware with filter and envelope modelling, and includes more than 600 presets.

Attic 3 is designed around instruments from less commonly represented areas of electronic music hardware history. Its 24-instrument selection includes analogue pianos, organs, string machines, digital synthesizers, vocal synthesis instruments, and other electronic keyboards.

The new version adds six instruments to the Attic collection:

  • Octave Plateau Voyetra 8
  • Elka Rhapsody
  • Yamaha CS-15
  • Joh Mustad Tubon
  • Sequential Circuits Split-8
  • Casio CZ-101

Also included are the Mini-Korg 700, Jennings Univox, Suzuki Omnichord, Philips Philicorda, Roland RS202, Korg LP10 Electronic Piano, Hammond Solovox, Godwin String Concert, Roland SH2000, EMS Synthi AKS, ARP Omni 2, Cheetah MS800, Crumar DP80, Farfisa VIP 345, Moog MinitMoog, Siel Orchestra 2, Solina String Ensemble, and Logan Vocalist.

According to Soniccouture, each instrument has been sampled across its individual key range. The library uses 24-bit, 48kHz samples and occupies 24GB of storage. The instruments also include behaviour modelling intended to reproduce filter and envelope characteristics of the sampled hardware.

Attic 3 provides a custom convolution reverb processor with Soniccouture’s impulse-response library. Its 600 presets include sounds created by sound designer Ian Boddy.

The collection is compatible with Kontakt Player and Native Instruments NKS. It requires Kontakt 7.101 or later.

Attic 3 is available with a 30% introductory reduction until October 6. Owners of Attic 2 can upgrade for €/$79.
