Steinberg has launched X-Stream, a free monophonic spectral synthesizer for HALion 7.1 and the free HALion Sonic 7.1. The new synthesizer offers a range of features designed to transform samples into a vibrant spectrum of sounds.
The X-Stream spectral synthesizer allows users to stretch the playback of samples, loops, or even entire tracks to extreme lengths. This feature enables the creation of ethereal, dreamy soundscapes and textures. The synthesizer acts like a prism, revealing previously unheard shades of sound, thanks to innovative tools such as Blur and Stack.
X-Stream is a free monophonic Spectral Synth, ideal for sound design and the creation of ambient music. It offers a drag and drop feature, which allows users to turn any samples into smooth evolving drones and textures. This feature is particularly useful for crafting abstract drones and effects for scores, games, and electronic music.
Steinberg’s X-Stream is available for free download. It is compatible with HALion 7.1 and the free HALion Sonic 7.1. For more information on the product and its features, visit the Steinberg website.
