Suzumushi has launched a new free plugin called SpeakerObjects, designed for emulating a pair of stereo speakers while using headphones. This plugin, which is a customized version of SoundObject, is currently available only for Windows users.
SpeakerObjects specializes in the binaural reproduction of stereo speaker-based sound fields. It addresses the issue of sound degradation that occurs when stereo sound, intended for speaker playback, is monitored through headphones. This issue can lead to sound imbalance when stereo speaker sound is mixed by headphone monitoring. In such scenarios, it becomes necessary to adjust for the acoustic characteristics of the listening room during the monitoring or mixing process. SpeakerObjects provides support for this necessary compensation.
The plugin is provided as a VST 3 plug-in for digital audio workstations (DAW) and supports 44.1KHz, 48KHz, and 96KHz sampling rates.
