News: The Crow Hill Company Launches Children’s Choir Virtual Instrument Plugin.

The Crow Hill Company has launched Children’s Choir, a virtual instrument plug-in for Windows and macOS. Designed by media composers for media composers, the instrument features recordings of a boys’ choir and provides articulations, effects, and alternative mix options for soundtrack-oriented music production.

Children’s Choir includes short vocal articulations, sustained sounds, and effects-based performances. The short articulations are Koh, Lee, Nah, Bah, Dee, Hah, Meh, Rue, Soh, and Teh, while the sustained selections include Rah, Broo, Ceee, Nai, Ahoh, Ehoh, NeAh, and OhEh.

The effects section provides Flowing, Wavering, Fractured, Rise, Falls, Mouth Noise, Chatter, and Whispers patches. These are intended to offer additional vocal textures alongside the choir’s conventional syllables and sustained notes.

The instrument includes three mix options:

  • Mix 1, Main Mix: the standard mix.
  • Mix 2, Fearsome Mix: a pitched-down, saturated effects mix.
  • Mix 3, Loathsome Mix: a dark ambient reverb effects mix.

The Crow Hill Company also describes alternative signal options including DRY, the default mix; FEARSOME, a pitched-down lo-fi partial; and LOATHING, a warm tape-saturation reverb partial.

Children’s Choir has an uncompressed installation size of 3.4 GB and requires at least 6 GB of available disk space. The stated system requirements include 16 GB of RAM or more, a high-speed internet connection, and an SSD when installing the library to an external drive.

The plug-in supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as macOS Monterey 12 through macOS Sequoia 15.x. Supported plug-in formats are AU, VST3, VST2, and AAX.

Children’s Choir is available at an early-access price of €59, reduced from €79. The introductory offer is scheduled to end on 5 October 2026.
