The Crow Hill Company has launched Concussion Drums, for Mac and Windows users. This innovative plugin, designed for music creators who enjoy producing intense drum sounds, features over 50 instruments in a dedicated interface.
Concussion Drums is a unique plugin that provides a platform for music creators who appreciate the creation of robust, full-bodied drum sounds. The plugin, developed by a highly skilled developer, offers a variety of features including custom drum mapping, individual drum processing, Key Effects, Augment, Focus, and custom presets.
One of the standout features of the plugin is “KEY-FX”, which allows users to play bus effects in real-time, just like the drums. This includes a range of effects such as reverse, stutter, glitch, delay, reverb, and distortion.
In addition, the plugin comes with a kit creator feature that enables users to create their own presets and kits. It also includes a channel strip feature that allows users to shape their sound using the in-built Per-Channel effects. These effects include filters, analog-style EQ & Bus Compression, Envelope Shaping, Transient Designer, Sub Harmonic control, Preamp Drive emulation, and independent FX Sends.
To run the plugin, users will need 8 GB or more of RAM, up to 15 GB of free disk space, a Silicon / ARM CPU, an SSD (if installing to an external drive), and a High-Speed Internet Connection. It is recommended to limit to 2 simultaneous instances.
The plugin supports AU, VST3, VST, AAX formats and is compatible with macOS Big Sur (11) through to Sonoma (14.x) (Apple Silicon and Intel compatible) and Windows 10 through to Windows 11. However, it is not currently supported by “Garageband”.
The Concussion Drums plugin includes over 60 Ensemble-based percussive Instruments and various playing techniques (Strikes, Flams, Ruffs, Rolls). It also includes a 12-piece Cello and Double Bass Ensemble to add an extra dimension to your drums.
The product comes with 50,144 audio files that require 15 GB of disk space when compressed losslessly. The uncompressed files require 45 GB of disk space.
For user convenience, a product manual is available for download and additional support can be found on the company’s Support Centre.
The product is currently available at an introductory price of £129 GBP, down from the regular retail price of £199 GBP. This is a limited time offer, expiring on August 31st, representing a 35% discount.
