The Very Loud Indeed Co. has launched Songbird: Dark Flute Explorations, a solo flute library for the full version of Native Instruments Kontakt. The release forms part of the developer’s Dark Explorations series, which is designed for creating atmospheric material associated with thriller, dark drama, and horror contexts.
Songbird: Dark Flute Explorations features recordings by symphonic flautist Natalia Trigueros. The library focuses on extended and unconventional flute sounds, with the performer exploring a range of techniques intended to produce tense and unsettling textures.
The library contains 337 sound files recorded at 24-bit/48 kHz resolution. Its installed size is 1.1 GB, and it provides five primary articulations:
- Long
- Short
- Flutter
- Trill
- Key Clicks, presented as percussive elements
Songbird: Dark Flute Explorations includes a Kontakt interface designed to provide direct access to the available sounds and articulations. The instrument requires the full version of Kontakt 7 or later and is not compatible with the free Kontakt Player.
System requirements include macOS 10.13 or later with an Intel i5 processor, or Windows 7 or later with an Intel i5 or equivalent processor. The library also requires graphics hardware supporting OpenGL 2.1 or later, 6 GB of RAM, and 1.1 GB of available storage space.
Songbird: Dark Flute Explorations is priced at $79.00 and is currently available for $49.00, representing a 38% discount. No end date for the offer has been specified.
