Three-Body Technology has launched Transi-Q, a transient-preserving equaliser plugin for macOS and Windows. The plugin is designed for shaping tonal balance while retaining the attack and definition of transient-rich material, including percussion and other sources with pronounced initial peaks.
Transi-Q provides a filter layout comprising a high-pass filter, high-shelf filter, low-shelf filter, and three proportional-Q bell filters. According to Three-Body Technology, the bell filters narrow their bandwidth as gain is increased, allowing more focused EQ adjustments.
The developer describes Transi-Q as being inspired by an analogue EQ design, with an emphasis on fast response and transient handling. Its design scope includes recording, mixing, and processing applications where preserving transient detail is a priority.
The plugin operates with zero samples of latency, making it suitable for live tracking and performance workflows where latency needs to be kept to a minimum.
Transi-Q is available in 64-bit VST2, VST3, AAX, and Audio Unit formats. The stated minimum system requirements are:
- Intel or AMD processor supporting SSE 4.1, or Apple Silicon
- macOS 11 or later, or Windows 8 or later
- 4 GB RAM and 100 MB of available disk space
A free demo version is available for both macOS and Windows without a time limit or registration requirement. In the demo, preset saving and loading are disabled, the interface displays a “Demo” label, and 1.5 seconds of silence is inserted every 15 minutes.
Transi-Q is available at an introductory price of $29, reduced from $49. The 40% introductory offer is listed as ending on August 28.
