Tracktion Corporation has launched MYTH, the latest product from synth pioneer Dawesome. This innovative offering comes on the heels of the successful Abyss, Kult, and Novum, and is designed to inspire joy and creativity in users through its unique approach to sound creation.
MYTH encourages users to explore and tweak sounds rather than simply programming them. The result is a rich, organic sound system that behaves like a single organism. Unlike classical synthesis where oscillator waves are mostly static and require filters or modulators to add depth and interest, MYTH introduces a new approach. Users can simply drag and drop audio, which is then re-synthesised as an IRIS. The inherent variations and richness of the IRIS (sample) can be exploited with the innovative ‘Transformer’ dials. While LFOs, envelopes, and filters are still available, users may find they don’t need to rely on them as heavily.
