Twinkle’s development was guided by the vision of Augusto, the lead developer at Sampleson, who emphasized the power of musical ornaments in shaping the mood of cinematic music. The software features a gesture-based interface that simplifies the composition of complex musical ornaments, making it accessible even to those without extensive musical training. With 32 modes available, users can explore a wide range of musical possibilities. The Phrase Type Selector and adjustable Tempo further enhance the creative options, allowing for personalized and varied compositions.
Twinkle also offers practical integration with digital audio workstations (DAWs). Users can capture their gestures via MIDI Out or drag and drop recorded phrases directly into their DAW projects. This functionality allows for full orchestration using either the user’s own instruments or the mock instruments included with Twinkle, facilitating immediate auditioning of ideas.
