UB DSP has launched Vowel Blender, its second plugin, introducing a formant filter designed for expressive, real-time modulation. The plugin focuses on shaping vowel-like resonances and animating them through an integrated modulation system intended for immediate musical interaction.
Vowel Blender is built around the concept of sculpting vocal-style formants and dynamically transforming them within a mix or sound design context. By emphasizing direct control and streamlined operation, the plugin is designed to allow users to shape resonant characteristics without complex routing or extensive setup procedures.
At its core, Vowel Blender applies formant filtering to incoming audio, enabling the creation of vowel-inspired tonal shapes. These resonances can be blended and animated in real time, supporting evolving textures, rhythmic modulation, and expressive movement. The interface is structured to keep key parameters accessible, supporting hands-on adjustment during production or performance.
