Universal Audio has launched UAD Topline Vocal Tune, a new native vocal pitch correction plug-in for macOS and Windows. Designed for modern vocal production workflows, the plug-in is available in UAD Native format and can be used either standalone or through the UAD Spark subscription.
UAD Topline Vocal Tune is built to provide real-time pitch correction and vocal shaping during both recording and mixing. According to Universal Audio, the plug-in features ultra-low-latency monitoring, allowing vocalists to hear pitch-corrected vocals in their headphones without noticeable delay. This is intended to support performance confidence during tracking sessions while enabling producers to manage tuning adjustments as needed.
The plug-in offers a range of correction styles, from subtle pitch refinement to more pronounced hard-tuned effects. A single control allows users to adjust the intensity of the tuning response, accommodating different musical genres and production approaches.
Universal Audio has also included settings aimed at maintaining the natural qualities of a vocal performance. These controls are designed to preserve nuances such as vibrato and tonal character while applying pitch correction.
Additional features include:
- Shift Mode: Provides independent pitch and formant controls for creative vocal manipulation beyond standard tuning.
- MIDI Repitching: Enables users to trigger and control vocal pitch via MIDI, effectively treating the vocal as a melodic instrument for harmonies and hook creation.
- Topline Key Finder: Automatically detects the key and scale of a performance and locks the correction to the identified parameters.
- Ultra-Low Latency Monitoring: Designed to minimize delay during real-time tracking.
The plug-in is intended for musicians, producers, and engineers working across a range of contemporary vocal styles, including sessions that require real-time monitoring as well as detailed post-production editing. Its feature set supports both corrective and creative applications, from transparent pitch alignment to stylized vocal effects.
UAD Topline Vocal Tune is available through authorized Universal Audio retailers and directly from the company’s website as of June 2, 2026.
UAD Topline Vocal Tune is listed at $99, with an introductory price of $79. A free demo is also available.
