UVI has launched Falcon 3, a virtual synth plugin and standalone for Windows and Mac. The new version introduces three new oscillators, four new effects, MIDI Out support, new scripts, several workflow enhancements, and an updated factory library. The update is free for existing users and is available at a 43% discount until November 5th.
New Oscillators
Falcon 3 introduces three new oscillators. The VOSIM oscillator, a tribute to vintage vocal synths, provides two unique modes for creating formant sounds. The Bowed String oscillator offers a virtual bow and string with multiple articulation modes. Lastly, the Harmonic Resonator oscillator features a multi-layer exciter feeding six tunable resonators with coupling.
The new version also comes with four new effects. Opal, an advanced physically-modeled optical-compressor, Ladder Filter, a version of the classic East Coast filter, Harmonic Resonator, a signal-based resonator bank effect, and Dispersor, a unique transient shaper with variable spread, frequency, order, and stages.
Falcon 3 adds several new and improved scripts to its event processors, including the MIDI CC Smoother, Node Arp, Motion Grid, and Snowflakes. The update also improves MPE and introduces MIDI Out, allowing users to control external software and hardware instruments.
The new version introduces several workflow enhancements. These include Workspaces, which allow users to save and recall UI states for quick transitions between customized views. A new start screen with 21 new program templates helps jump-start the creative process. A new ‘Mappers’ editor and tab bring these powerful tools closer to the surface. Additionally, numerous UI improvements have been made to enhance legibility and use.
Falcon 3 also comes with a completely refreshed Falcon Factory, offering over 1,500 presets with improved macro controls and all-new UIs. This enhances the entire library while adding dozens of all-new sounds.
The Falcon 3 update is free for existing users and is available at a 43% discount until November 5th.
