UVI has launched PX WaveFrame, a modern digital sampling instrument that draws inspiration from the iconic WaveFrame AudioFrame of the 1980s. The new tool marries high-quality digital sampling with a range of newly developed effects and a robust engine, boasting 350 specially designed presets to elevate contemporary music production.
PX WaveFrame is a fresh interpretation of a digital sampling pioneer, offering authentic, rare sounds from the legendary WaveFrame AudioFrame. It provides over 150 layers of expressive, character-rich samples, allowing users to delve into hundreds of meticulously crafted presets or to design their own.
The PX WaveFrame encapsulates the revolutionary spirit of the WaveFrame AudioFrame, a top-tier digital sampler and audio production system that emerged in the late 1980s. The original system was celebrated for its advanced features such as non-aliased transposition, phase-coherent polyphony, and 24-bit processing capabilities.
The new instrument comes equipped with 350 expertly programmed presets spanning categories such as Keys, Guitars, Bass, Strings, Brass, Woodwinds, Synths, Drums, and Effects. It provides a dual-layer architecture for in-depth customization, featuring controls like envelopes, filters, LFOs, and modulation. Additionally, it includes a comprehensive suite of built-in effects like EQ, Drive, Thorus, Phasor, Ensemble, Delay, and Sparkverb.
PX WaveFrame is a member of the PX line of instruments, which delves into the realm of unique, rare, and sometimes unreleased electronic and acoustic instruments. The tool requires 11 GB of disk space and operates in UVI Workstation version 3.1.15+, and Falcon version 3.1.0+. It is compatible with MacOS 10.14 Mojave to macOS 14 Sonoma and Windows 10 to Windows 11 (64-bit).
