The Vienna Symphonic Library has launched Synchron Smart Orchestra 2.0, an innovative update to its orchestral software suite. This release promises to enhance the creative process for musicians and composers by offering a comprehensive orchestral experience directly within their digital audio workstations.
The Synchron Smart Orchestra 2.0 is designed to bring the full power of the Vienna Synchron Orchestra into your studio environment. With its new Flow View interface, users can effortlessly stay in the creative zone, whether they are sketching musical ideas, experimenting with sounds, performing live, or crafting detailed orchestrations. This interface allows for seamless control, enabling users to play the entire orchestra, including choir and percussion, or to focus on individual sections and solo instruments.
This latest version introduces several new features aimed at enhancing the versatility and depth of the orchestral experience. Among these are the inclusion of Smart Spheres and Smart Hits, which are tailored for hybrid scoring. Additionally, new solo instruments such as the solo violin, solo cello, and solo bassoon have been added, alongside new articulations for all solo instruments, including staccato, sforzato, and lyrical legato. These enhancements facilitate quick orchestrations, whether for sketching, arranging, live performance, or hybrid scoring.
For existing users of the Synchron Smart Orchestra, this update is available at no additional cost. Furthermore, crossgrade pricing is offered for those transitioning from the Vienna Smart Orchestra, various Synchron Series Collections, and towards Synchron Duality Strings (regular).
The Synchron Smart Orchestra 2.0 is compatible with Native Instruments’ NKS format, making it suitable for use with Komplete Kontrol keyboards and Maschine. To ensure optimal performance, the minimum system requirements include Windows 10 (latest update, 64-bit), an Intel Core i3 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor, 16 GB RAM, and an SSD with at least 15 GB of free storage space. For enhanced performance, the recommended system specifications are Windows 11 (latest update), an Intel Core i5/i7/i9/Xeon processor, 32 GB RAM, and an 88 key master keyboard, along with a compatible AU/VST/VST3/AAX Native host.
