W.A. Production has launched Drifter, a multi-effect plugin for macOS and Windows that applies evolving modulation to any audio source. The software aims to add subtle movement and character to mixes by offering a range of modulation targets and global controls.
Drifter features global depth and speed knobs alongside independent sliders for each modulation target. Users can apply both natural and creative modulation types—ranging from level and pan shifts to phase, shape, and filter effects. The plugin supports automatic gain compensation and provides dedicated input and output gain controls for precise level management.
Additional functions include A/B comparison, undo and redo, and a clean, resizable interface designed to remain efficient on system resources. Drifter comes with a collection of factory presets, a full PDF manual, and a tutorial video to help users explore its capabilities.
