Waves Audio has recently launched Space Rider, a spatial effects suite plugin compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems. The plugin is designed to simplify the process of creating changes, surprises, and special moments in audio tracks, which traditionally requires setting up multiple effect buses and numerous lanes of automation.
Space Rider incorporates three high-quality effects – reverb, delay, and chorus – into a single, streamlined interface designed for speed and efficiency. Users can easily send the chorus to the delay, and the delay to the reverb, with a simple click of a button. This allows for the creation of deep spatial effects that can significantly enhance the quality of audio tracks.
However, the capabilities of Space Rider extend beyond these basic features. The plugin’s standout feature is its dynamic Rider, which can be assigned to any parameter. By engaging the Rider, users can morph the different effects, instantly creating movement and interest in the audio. The plugin also includes a built-in envelope shaper, which allows the Rider to dynamically respond to the incoming audio signal. This feature can create effects that would typically require extensive setup time.
With Space Rider, complex automations, routing, and send/return hassles are a thing of the past. The plugin allows users to achieve deep results that previously required intricate engineering maneuvers with just a few clicks. The user-friendly interface includes reverb, delay, and chorus, and the dynamic Rider saves time on complex automation and routing. Users can easily morph between the different effects using the Rider, and the Rider’s envelope shaper responds dynamically to the incoming signal.
Space Rider also introduces new reverb, delay, and chorus algorithms that have been crafted from the ground up. The plugin allows users to easily send the chorus to the delay, and the delay to the reverb, creating a seamless workflow. Additionally, the plugin includes presets by Grammy-winning producers and mixers for artists such as Dua Lipa, Kendrick Lamar, and Doja Cat.
For a limited time, Waves Audio is offering a 50% discount on the introductory price of Space Rider. The expiry date of this offer has not been disclosed.
