News: WPTRAT releases Jackplate, a free standalone Neural Amp Modeler player for macOS.

WPTRAT has launched Jackplate, a free standalone Neural Amp Modeler player for macOS. The application is designed to load and audition Neural Amp Modeler captures without requiring a DAW project or plugin host.

Jackplate supports NAM captures using both the A1 and A2 architectures, including amp, pedal, and complete signal-chain captures. It is intended for workflows such as practising, warming up, and browsing available captures from the NAM community.

The application places its primary controls in a single window. Users can select a capture, load a cabinet impulse response, access four stompbox effects, use an integrated tuner, and save or recall presets.

Neural Amp Modeler captures are commonly shared by users and developers, with auditioning often handled through a DAW and a compatible NAM plugin. Jackplate provides a standalone macOS option for loading these files directly.

WPTRAT is an independent one-person software studio based in Brazil that develops macOS audio applications. Its other releases include OctoTrack Studio, an eight-track recorder built around a tape-style workflow, and ClockGuard, a utility for monitoring audio-interface sample rates.

Jackplate is available free from the Mac App Store. WPTRAT states that the application includes no advertising, accounts, or in-app purchases.
