News: Squaremoss Plugins has released Canopy, a Dattorro-style plate reverb with built-in saturation and self-fed ducking for Windows and macOS.

Squaremoss Plugins has launched Canopy, a Dattorro-style plate reverb for Windows and macOS. The plugin combines plate reverb processing with built-in saturation and self-fed ducking controls.

Canopy is based on a Dattorro-style plate reverb design and provides controls for Pre Delay, Length, Depth, Hold, Damping, and Mod. Depth adjusts the plate size, while the additional parameters address the timing, sustain, tonal damping, and modulation behaviour of the reverb.

The plugin includes a saturation stage that can be positioned before the reverb, within the reverb tank, or after the reverb. Squaremoss Plugins states that these Pre, Tank, and Post positions allow the saturation to affect the input, reverb tail, or processed output respectively.

Canopy also provides self-fed ducking, which reduces the reverb level while the source signal is active without requiring external sidechain routing. Duck amount and Release controls are provided to adjust the extent of the reduction and its return behaviour.

Additional controls include Low Cut, High Cut, and Width parameters for shaping the frequency range and stereo presentation of the reverb signal.

The plugin is available in 64-bit VST3 and AU formats. VST3 is supported on Windows 10 and Windows 11, while VST3 and AU versions are supported on macOS 10.13 and later. Canopy uses offline activation, does not require an account or internet connection, and allows one licence key to be used across the owner’s machines.

Canopy is available now for an introductory price of $20, with a regular price of $49.
