FORGE Multimedia Group LLC has launched Groove Console, a creative audio effect for music production and sound design. The plug-in combines playback-inspired tone shaping, surface textures and performance-oriented controls in a five-stage processing layout.
Groove Console is organised into Input, Tone, Surface, Recall and Output stages. It includes nine adjustable profiles intended as starting points for processing, including Warm LP, Grimy Break, 45 RPM and Antique Horn.
The Recall stage provides six tempo-aware gestures, including scratch, rewind and stop effects. These can be triggered from the interface button or by MIDI note, with host-synchronised ratios or manually specified BPM settings.
The software is intended for applying playback-style tonal characteristics, surface effects and performance gestures to music production and sound-design material. Profiles remain adjustable rather than operating as fixed settings.
FORGE Multimedia Group also provides a browser-based listening room that compares Original and Processed audio using one selected track. The listening-room processing is simplified and does not use the paid plug-in engine.
The macOS edition requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 27 or later. It includes Audio Unit, VST3 and standalone application formats, delivered in a Developer ID-signed and Apple-notarized DMG.
A 64-bit Windows beta is available with VST3 and standalone formats. FORGE Multimedia Group states that this version is unsigned and predates the current Groove Console branch. An x86-64 Linux beta is also available with VST3 and standalone formats. Audio routing and DAW compatibility vary by operating system.
Groove Console is available in separate editions for $19 USD per operating system, with each purchase covering one OS. Current system requirements, beta notes, edition links and the sound comparison are available on the product page.
