Glencoe Audio has unveiled its latest offering, Skyedrift, an ambient instrument tailored for Kontakt Player 7.5.2+. The new instrument, which boasts full NKS support, is inspired by the atmospheric and textural nuances of Nordic and German film composers, making it an ideal tool for film, TV, and game composers.
Skyedrift is a comprehensive instrument, containing 1,387 samples and occupying 26.8GB of space. It is readily available for download via Native Access. The instrument’s sounds have been processed with 1/4″ tape, cassette, FX pedals, and plugins, all used in unconventional ways to create a unique sonic palette.
The Skyedrift instrument features a clean yet powerful 3-layer engine with two layer modes: Parallel and Stack. This design allows for a wide range of sound manipulation and creation. Additionally, the instrument includes a randomization feature and a macro knob that can control three parameters simultaneously, providing users with a high level of control over their sound.
The instrument comes with 203 presets and includes 27GB of long evolving multi-sampled instruments. These include solo strings, winds, guitars, analog synths, singers, percussion, noises and textures, and a variety of unique and rare instruments. This vast array of sounds and textures makes Skyedrift a versatile tool for composers in various fields.
The Skyedrift instrument is priced at $99 / $139. Glencoe Audio is also offering a bundle deal, where customers can purchase Skyedrift and Eilean Flannel Piano together and receive a 50% discount on the Eilean Flannel Piano.
This promotional offer is valid until March 21st.
