Sound Dust has launched Plato library, a new addition for users of Kontakt 6.7.1 and above. This library is designed to offer a unique musical experience, combining various elements to create an intricate and interactive sound environment.
The Plato library is described as a versatile tool, functioning as a melodic surprise generator, shimmer machine, and drone engine. It includes four hybrid articulations: two pianos, strings, and a ‘flute’. These elements are processed through a complex internal signal chain, allowing for unexpected interactions and transformations. The library also features a sequencer for each note or sound, with nine subdivisions per note, and offers MIDI drag-and-drop functionality for each sequencer.
In addition to its core features, the Plato library includes sequenced multi-effect tape effects, sequenced EQ, sequenced dynamics multi-effects, and sequenced master ducking. This setup allows users to explore a wide range of sonic possibilities, with each note capable of different rates, steps, swing, and randomness. The library provides 100 starting points to inspire users in their musical explorations.
