orph has launched PLUSH, a free finishing plugin designed to combine high-frequency enhancement and loudness processing in a single interface. The plugin is available now for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and standalone formats.
PLUSH is intended for use as a final stage on a mix bus or on individual tracks. According to the developer, it brings together high-frequency detail and perceived level control without requiring separate exciter and limiter plugins.
The plugin is organised into two primary sections: Brilliance and Loudness.
The Brilliance section is designed to add high-frequency content and offers three selectable modes:
These options allow users to tailor the character of the added top-end detail depending on the material and intended result.
The Loudness stage operates as a full-band processor and includes three selectable curve options:
This stage runs with 8x oversampling and incorporates true-peak limiting. The combined design aims to increase perceived level while maintaining control over peak output.
PLUSH is positioned as a streamlined finishing tool for mixes or single tracks, consolidating enhancement and limiting functions within a single window. It is available now as a free download for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and standalone formats.
