FeelYourSound has launched Melodic Techno Arps and Stabs, an expansion pack for its SongEngine MIDI generator plug-in. The expansion adds 105 MIDI generator presets designed for melodic techno, melodic house, trance, and EDM-oriented chord progression workflows.
Melodic Techno Arps and Stabs is not a standalone plug-in and requires SongEngine version 1.8 or later. According to FeelYourSound, its presets transform supplied chord progressions into arpeggios, rhythmic synthesizer patterns, and stabs.
SongEngine generates MIDI parts from chord progressions, including arpeggios, basslines, and piano phrases. The plug-in includes more than 60 presets, while its optional expansion packs provide further MIDI generators.
The expansion can be unlocked within SongEngine after the host plug-in has been installed. Users can select “Add more” in the left sidebar to add the package. To display only the new presets, users can open the Packages page, expand the Search section, and select the “> MelodicTech” tag.
- SongEngine is available in VST2, VST3, and AU formats.
- It is compatible with Windows 7, 8, 10, and 11, and macOS 10.13 or later.
- Supported DAWs include FL Studio, Ableton Live, and Logic Pro.
FeelYourSound states that users retain all rights to phrases and melodies generated with SongEngine. Generated MIDI files are royalty-free for use in personal and commercial productions, including collaborative projects and work produced for other artists.
