CARP Audio has launched Krossbow, available for both Windows and Mac operating systems. The plugin is designed to enhance the attack, punch, and impact of audio without leaving unwanted artifacts, flattened dynamics, and distortion behind.
Krossbow is a unique dynamic processor plugin that does not feature a threshold or ratio setting. Instead, it dynamically adjusts the gain towards the desired ‘Maximum Reduction’ based on the incoming signal. This innovative approach allows for a more nuanced and precise control over the audio processing.
The plugin is particularly useful for enhancing the dynamical impact of various instruments such as bass, synths, and drums. It can add more punch to sounds, glue instruments and synths together with the drums, and recover the dynamic depth of heavily processed or flattened audio. Furthermore, Krossbow can provide better dynamics for cleaner post-processing like distortion or clipping, and leveling vocals.
Krossbow comes with a range of features including reduction amount, max reduction, attack, release, and an external sidechain mode. It also offers 2 needle response modes, 2x to 32x oversampling, and 8 oversampling filter types. These features provide users with a wide array of options to customize and fine-tune their audio processing.
The regular price of Krossbow is €84,95 EUR. However, it is currently being sold at a discounted sale price of €43,95 EUR. The plugin can be downloaded for both Windows and MacOS. Upon download, it starts in Demo Mode, which is fully functional but with occasional noise bursts. To unlock the full version, keys need to be purchased and entered in the plugin.
The introductory offer for Krossbow is currently 49% off the regular price. The expiry date of this promotional discount is currently unknown.
