ToneCraft Pte. Ltd. has launched ToneCraft 1.0.5, an AI-assisted guitar multi-effects plugin for Windows and macOS. The software combines six guitar effects with text- and audio-based workflows for generating editable effect settings.
ToneCraft includes overdrive, distortion, EQ, chorus, delay and reverb effects. Users can create tones through the plugin or through the company’s browser-based workflow, which supports tone generation, auditioning and parameter adjustment without requiring a DAW.
The Text to Tone feature allows guitarists to describe a target sound in natural language. ToneCraft then generates corresponding settings for its included effects. The Audio to Tone feature accepts an uploaded reference guitar stem and produces effect settings based on that audio.
For references taken from full songs, ToneCraft’s web platform provides tools for selecting a section of audio, isolating a guitar stem and downloading the result for use with the plugin. Generated settings can be adjusted manually using the available effect controls in either the plugin or browser interface.
The software also includes factory presets and supports saving custom user presets. Version 1.0.5 is provided as a VST3 plugin for Windows, and as VST3 and Audio Unit formats for macOS.
ToneCraft Pte. Ltd. stated that the research behind the product, “Integrated Multi-Effect Parameter Prediction and Guitar Effects Simulation,” has been accepted for the ISMIR 2026 Late-Breaking/Demo track. The company plans to present the work in Abu Dhabi in November.
ToneCraft 1.0.5 is currently available through open access from the ToneCraft website. A free ToneCraft account is required to download the plugin and use the web-based tools.
