8Dio has launched Plucked Grand Piano library for Kontakt. This unique library is dedicated to the deep sampling of plucked and hammer-struck grand piano strings, offering a new range of sound possibilities for music producers and composers.
The Plucked Grand Piano library was developed by recording each string of a high-quality grand piano using an oversized nylon guitar pick. This innovative approach resulted in an instrument that combines the distinct sounds of a harp, clavinet, guitar, lute, and harpsichord. In addition to the plucked articulations, the library also includes a “Hammered” articulation, created using a custom miniature hammer, which mimics the sound of a hammered dulcimer.
The library boasts a new user-interface and FX CHAOS Engine, enhancing the user experience and offering more control over the sound. It includes both plucked and hammered articulations and offers a sample resolution of 44.1Khz / 24Bit. The library, which is 2.7GB in size, is available for direct download or can be accessed via a Cloud Server System.
The Plucked Grand Piano library also features a built-in browser environment, an A/B system for fading between two different sounds in real-time, and two parallel FX systems. A unique feature of this library is the textural convolution delay, a novel way of using convolution to create textural delays, adding depth and complexity to the sound.
To use the Plucked Grand Piano library, users must have the full retail version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or later. It is important to note that this library is not compatible with the Free Kontakt Player. Additionally, it requires 2.7 GB of hard drive space.
While the regular price for the Plucked Grand Piano library is $98, it is currently available for free. There is no expiry date for this offer, making it a valuable addition to any music producer’s toolkit. However, the expiry date of this promotion is unknown, so interested parties are encouraged to take advantage of this offer as soon as possible.
