Native Instruments has launched Komplete 26, the latest version of its flagship music production bundle. The collection brings together more than 190 instruments and effects, over 180,000 sounds, and a range of mixing and mastering tools developed across the Native Instruments, iZotope, and Brainworx portfolios.
Komplete 26 is designed to support the full production process, from initial composition through to final mix and master. The bundle is available in multiple tiers and continues to integrate Native Instruments’ software instruments, sampled libraries, synthesis tools, and studio effects into a single production environment.
Among the newly added instruments is Absynth 6, a semi-modular synthesizer known for evolving and experimental timbres. The update also introduces Claire and Claire: Avant, two sampled grand pianos captured from rare instruments, as well as Moments: Vocal Clouds, a vocal-based instrument focused on layered and atmospheric textures.
Additional new titles in Komplete 26 include:
- Marco Polo Drums, featuring boom-bap oriented drum kits
- LCO Producer Strings, created in collaboration with the London Contemporary Orchestra for contemporary string arrangements
- Definitive Electric Keys Collection, a set of vintage electric keyboard sounds
- The Scene Series, a growing range of scoring-focused instruments for on-screen composition
Alongside these additions, Komplete 26 continues to include established instruments and tools from previous editions. Drum production is supported by Battery 4, while Guitar Rig 7 Pro provides guitar and effects processing. Playbox remains part of the bundle as a generative instrument for melodic and harmonic ideas.
The synthesis lineup includes Massive X for modern sound design, FM8 for FM-based synthesis, Absynth 6 for evolving textures, and Reaktor 6, which enables users to build custom instruments and effects or explore user-created ensembles.
At the core of the collection is Kontakt 8, Native Instruments’ sampler platform. Version 8.10.0 introduces Aftertouch support, enabling any connected keyboard to access expressive control similar to polyphonic aftertouch. Kontakt 8 also includes tools designed to assist with chords, phrases, groove, and arrangement workflows.
Komplete 26 incorporates a selection of mixing and mastering processors from iZotope and Brainworx. Included titles span channel strip emulations, dynamics processors, creative effects, and mastering tools. Examples include:
- Ozone 12 Elements for mastering tasks
- bx_console AMEK 200 for console-style channel processing
- Nectar 4 Elements for vocal processing
- FXEQ and Trash for creative tonal shaping
- bx_glue for bus compression
The bundle is designed to integrate with Native Instruments hardware, including Kontrol keyboards and Maschine systems. Through the NKS standard, Komplete 26 also supports selected controllers from Arturia, Akai Professional, Novation, Korg, Nektar, and M-Audio, offering parameter mapping and DAW control where supported.
Komplete 26 is available in four paid tiers, alongside the free Komplete Start package. Each tier offers a different scope of instruments and effects, allowing users to select a configuration that matches their production requirements.
Komplete 26 is available in four tiers: Select at $99, Standard at $549, Ultimate at $1249, and Collector’s Edition at $1949. Update pricing from Komplete 15 is available as follows: Standard for $149, Ultimate for $299, and Collector’s Edition for $399.
