Berry FX Plugins has launched Sweet-R, Candi-D, Compote, Juic-C and Ripeness, a collection of audio plugins covering reverb, delay, compression and loudness metering. The products are published by Berry Effects and are designed to provide familiar processing controls alongside additional parameters for sound shaping and workflow.
Sweet-R is a reverb plugin with five selectable algorithms: plate, hall, chamber, room and spring. Its Sweetness section includes Sugar, Ripen, Zest and Pith controls, while the Season parameter provides Fresh, Ripe, Sun-Dried and Frozen tonal variations. The plugin also includes snapshot and reset functions for recalling or comparing settings.
Candi-D is a stereo delay offering 25 combinations and five feedback characters. Its Sourness controls, named Sour, Chew, Fizz and Glaze, adjust the texture of delay repeats. A sidechain ducker is included to reduce the delay level in response to the source signal, allowing the processed signal to remain underneath the dry audio.
Compote combines five compressor types in one plugin: VCA, FET, Opto, Vari-Mu and Diode. It includes 15 vintage voicings and a Preserve panel with lookahead, oversampling, range and adaptive-knee controls for additional dynamics processing options.
Juic-C is a convolution reverb intended for building composite spaces. Its Pressed and Blended modes allow users to work with early reflections and decay components from different spaces when constructing reverb environments.
Ripeness is a free loudness meter that provides integrated and short-term LUFS readings, true-peak metering and platform-specific loudness targets. It is intended for checking audio levels during preparation for distribution and delivery.
The plugins are available for Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later, including Intel and Apple silicon systems. Supported formats are VST3, AU, AAX and standalone operation. Licenses cover two machines and do not require a subscription or have an expiration date.
Sweet-R, Candi-D, Compote and Juic-C are listed at $39 each, while Ripeness is free. The paid plugins include fully unlocked 30-day trials without a payment card requirement.
