News: Low End Candy has released Premix, a tool that finds songs, analyzes their key and BPM, and places them in a project.

Low End Candy has launched Premix, a music preparation tool designed to find songs, analyse their musical key and tempo, and place them into a DAW project. The software is intended for workflows involving track preparation, tempo matching, key reference, and arrangement setup.

Premix lets users search for a song and selects its official audio version. It analyses the track’s key, including its Camelot code, and BPM information.

When processing a song, Premix saves both a 24-bit WAV file and a 320 kbps MP3 file. The application can also split a song into stems.

In Ableton Live 12, Premix places the selected song onto its own track and configures the Live set to follow the song’s detected tempo and key. In other DAWs, users can drag the prepared file to bar 1 of a project set to their chosen tempo.

Premix is available for macOS as a VST3 plug-in, Audio Unit plug-in, and standalone application. Windows versions are available as a VST3 plug-in and standalone application.

Premix is priced at $39 as a one-time purchase and includes a 14-day money-back guarantee. A free demo is available from the product page.
