News: Sfoor Labs has released SL Guitar, a guitar instrument for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later.

Sfoor Labs has launched SL Guitar, a guitar instrument for Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later. The instrument is available as a VST3, Audio Unit, and standalone application in its Mac 1.0.0 release.

SL Guitar provides six playable strings, seven chord pads, and an editable 16-step rhythm pattern. The chord pads can be used to change chords while a rhythm pattern is playing.

The instrument includes adjustable key, capo, and strum-timing settings. Its sound controls comprise Tone, Body, Space, and Volume parameters.

Ten factory presets are included, covering steel-string, nylon-string, electric, recorded archtop, and palm-muted guitar tones. The product is designed for creating guitar parts within supported music-production setups on Apple Silicon Macs.

SL Guitar relies on the host DAW for MIDI and audio recording or export, and does not export files directly. Sfoor Labs’ SL Hub application is used for account access and software updates.

The release does not support Windows systems or Intel-based Macs. An iPhone and iPad edition has not been publicly released and is not included with the Mac purchase.

SL Guitar for Mac is available as a one-time purchase for $29.
