Softube has launched Model 77 Dual Layer Synth, compatible with both Windows and Mac. This plugin is designed to emulate the sound of three iconic Japanese hardware units from 1977, offering an authentic sound and performance with a redesigned, user-friendly interface.
The Model 77 Dual Layer Synth is known for producing the iconic sounds heard in Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire, Billie Jean, Africa, and Human Nature, among others. The sound, interaction, and performance of this plugin closely mirror the original hardware units. However, the complex interfaces of the original instruments have been enhanced with a more intuitive redesign.
This plugin comes with all the original factory presets for all three synthesizers. It also features Dual Layer Presets, which allow users to recreate classic sounds by combining the upper and lower presets. Modern features such as stereo processing and DAW sync, an Aging Slider for vintage vibes, and a new stereo algorithmic reverb are also included.
The Model 77 Dual Layer Synth supports true Polyphonic Aftertouch for some of the parameters featured in the Expanded View. Additionally, it includes seven modules for Softube Modular and two modules for the Amp Room platform.
To use the Model 77 Dual Layer Synth, the following system requirements must be met: Monterey 12, Ventura 13, Sonoma 14, Windows 10 (64-bit), Windows 11, a Softube account, an iLok account, a computer with AU, VST, VST3 and/or AAX compatible DAW host software, and internet access.
The introductory price for the Model 77 Dual Layer Synth is currently 37% off. Customers can get an additional 10% off (for a final price of $89) with the promo code: EXPRESSYNTH. This offer expires on October 3rd.
