Bunker Samples has launched “Intimate Cello ‘Iremia'”, a virtual instrument for NI Kontakt 6 or later. This unique instrument is designed to explore the most intimate and quiet side of a solo cello, offering a stunningly detailed sound profile captured through a variety of microphone positions.
“Iremia” features a talented cellist playing extremely softly and recorded at a very close range, resulting in a virtual instrument of remarkable intimacy, beauty, and humanity. The product provides a broad range of airy sustains, beautiful moving textures, and natural, organic swells. It is an ideal choice for scoring Scandi Noir dramas or any other situation where a subtly captivating instrument is required.
The recording process for this instrument involved five different microphone positions, three of which were close: Inside, Super Close, and Close. The other positions were Mid and Far. Every sound in Iremia was recorded both with and without a mute, and with the crossfade patch, users can seamlessly crossfade between muted and normal sounds.
In addition to the cello, the Iremia series also includes a viola library that mirrors the cello in concept, microphones, and articulations. The interface of Intimate Cello is straightforward to use, but it also conceals advanced features beneath the surface.
The product is currently available at an introductory price of $59, down from the regular price of $99. This introductory offer will end on September 20. Additionally, an Iremia Bundle, which includes both the Cello and Viola, is available for $99, down from the regular price of $198.
“Iremia” boasts several additional features, including align sample start, extended simulated dynamics, full control over the dynamic range, fully adjustable velocity control, per mic stereo width and pan controls, per mic Delay and Reverb sends, and the ability to route each mic directly to Kontakt’s discrete outputs for individual processing in your DAW.
The product contains 3465 samples and has an uncompressed size of 14.2 GB. The lossless compressed size (installed size) is 8.33 GB, and the download size is 8.18 GB. It includes 48 total articulations and 5 patches.
The product is available with an introductory discount for $59 (regular price is $99) or together with Intimate Viola for $99, a 50% saving. It requires the full version of NI Kontakt 6.7.1 or later. The introductory sale ends on September 20.
