Native Instruments has launched Low End Modular, a hybrid modular synth instrument for Kontakt Player. This new tool allows users to incorporate the sound of extensive modular systems into their productions and compositions, without requiring any specialized knowledge of modular synths.
Low End Modular is designed to facilitate the creation of dark, cinematic soundscapes or immersive basslines. Users can layer and morph between a variety of different sources spread across a three-octave range. The instrument offers 163 snapshots, created from hundreds of sound sources that cover East Coast, West Coast, and Eurorack modules, among others. Users can either rely on the randomization feature for instant results or manually adjust macro controls to add depth and movement to their sounds.
The Edit page of the instrument allows users to tweak the filter, pitch, and envelope settings for each channel. This feature enables users to discover deep cinematic sounds captured from an extensive collection of vintage and modern modular synth systems.
Low End Modular also provides control over four independent layers and offers a range of snapshots, each with three sound variations to morph between. This feature enhances the flexibility and versatility of the instrument, allowing users to create unique and complex sounds.
The Animation page of the instrument includes Step Sequencer and LFO controls, which can be used to add movement and depth to sounds. This feature provides users with the ability to design dynamic and evolving sounds.
The Channel view of the instrument provides hands-on control of levels, panning, effects sends, and inserts. This feature allows users to design their modular sounds with a high level of precision and control.
As an introductory offer, Low End Modular is currently available at a 20% discount. The expiry date of this promotional offer is currently unknown.
