t4 Digital Studio has launched AlterVerb 53, a reverb plugin for Windows. The plugin is designed to add space, depth, and detail to complex audio sources while maintaining definition.
AlterVerb 53 provides separate controls for early reflections, tail character, density, diffusion, and modulation. These parameters allow users to shape both the initial spatial response and the longer reverb tail.
The plugin also includes Peak Smooth processing, which is intended to manage sharp high-frequency peaks within the reverb signal. This processing is designed to support a controlled reverb sound when working with detailed or dense material.
According to t4 Digital Studio, AlterVerb 53 was developed after the creator could not find the reverb tools they wanted for their own work. The resulting plugin is intended for sources including drums, percussion, keyboards, vocals, and other layered material where reverb needs to remain open and defined.
AlterVerb 53 is available in VST3 format for Windows.
AlterVerb 53 is available as a free download, with an optional pay-what-you-want contribution to support future development.
